BSSO alumni Association • PRESIDENTS 1994-2023
from the president
Lateefah Spires Brown
Greetings fellow BSSO Alumni,
It has been a long time since we were all in the same place at the same time. I hope this fall season finds you well.
During your time at SDSU, as a member of the Black Student Science Organization, the club served as a refuge and a haven for you to study and interact with like-minded students who shared your interest in high academic achievement. Since you’ve been gone, the BSSO has blossomed into a truly close knit community of learners who mentor, encourage and support one another under the faculty advisorship of Dr. Estralita Martin.

I am reaching out to you in an effort to bridge the gap between BSSO past alumni and recent alumni plus undergrads. I am writing to ask if you would be willing to reconnect with the BSSO in a few ways:

For those who want to participate, but choose to skip the Google Form, feel free to call, text, or email me at the email address below to provide your contact information. This is my personal contact information. I will answer when you call and/or email.
Also, if you are in contact with any other alumni whom I have not attached to this email feel free to forward this email to them and send me their contact info so that I may reach out to them as well. If you haven’t done so lately, please visit the BSSO Alumni Association website and take a look around. Just point your browser to http://www.bssoaa.org. Also, take a look at the BSSO undergraduate website: http://www.bsso.org. The BSSO has come a long way since the days of library study groups, journal club presentations and snowboarding trips. Please consider re-connecting and reaching back to help those who follow in your footsteps. Yours are the shoulders upon which they will stand. |
